The programme

What an organisation exposes, established and kept current

SASM enumerates the internet-facing assets of an authorising organisation, records what each service announces about itself, and correlates that against published vulnerability data — with the date each part was last actually measured.

How it works

  • Measures only assets whose owner authorised the programme in writing
  • Contacts services and records what they announce — read-only throughout
  • Reports a silent host as unmeasured; the distinction is kept in the data
  • Applies an exclusion on receipt, without requiring proof first

What it will not do

  • Attempt authentication against any asset
  • Exploit a vulnerability it finds
  • Perform load, stress or denial-of-service testing
  • Probe an address outside the authorised list

Questions, exclusions and abuse reports

Answered within one business day. Authorisation documentation is available to a named asset owner on request.
